Benefits of Learning CRM software ?

Hi,
I am currently a university student (math major) and working part-time in brokerage firm. I mainly work as database admin —updating clients information using CRM (customer relationship management) software.
its not that well paying but I was just wondering is it worth sticking to this job ….would it help me later on …once i graduate ??
